1. Lake Beaverfork Park

This park on the shores of Beaverfork Lake is the city’s largest park and provides a range of outdoor activities. The 960-acre lake has a fishing pier and boat ramp and a favorite destination for watersports enthusiasts who enjoy windsurfing, boating, paddling, swimming, and fishing for crappie, bluegill, bass, and catfish.

The park also has sand volleyball courts, a disc golf course, and lighted softball and baseball fields. The lovely picnic area has grills, pavilions, a playground and is the perfect spot for family picnics with the kids.

2. Woolly Hollow State Park

The beautiful park has four scenic hiking trails: Gold Creek Loop, Huckleberry and Cabin Trails, and the popular 9.4-mile Enders Fault mountain biking trail. Enjoy a stroll down to Woolly Cabin that was built in 1882 as a one-room family home.

The 40-acre Lake Bennet attracts boaters and paddlers with a launch ramp for canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, and fishing boats. At the swimming beach, there are lifeguards and a snack bar in the summer. The park also has a campground with restrooms and hot showers.

3. Cadron Settlement Park

The park is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Blockhouse, the Cherokee Trail of Tears exhibits, and the historical mural of this pioneer settlement are must-see attractions. In addition to the historical significance, there are hiking trails with interpretive signs and a boat launch ramp. Bring along a picnic basket and enjoy a bite to eat at the picnic area with a pavilion and restrooms.

4.  Don Owen Sports Complex

The park offers sports enthusiasts 125-acres of indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Here you can play basketball, volleyball, racquetball, softball, have a picnic, and even take your dog to get some exercise.

The outdoor facility offers six ball fields, a three turf infield softball complex, the Faulker Country Rodeo Arena, the Conway Dog park, a pavilion, and a small playground. The 44,000 square foot indoor facility is home to three basketball courts, two racquetball courts, and a volleyball court.

5. Laurel Park

This 26-acre park is a lovely place for families to enjoy time together. Here the kids can burn off energy at the large playground, run around on the spacious lawns, and cool down at the splash pad. There is a seven-mile jogging track and a gazebo. The park has a picnic area perfect for family get-togethers with tables, grills, and two pavilions.

6. Bainbridge Park

Escape the humdrum of everyday life and come and relax in this pretty 6-acre park. Stroll or bike down the paved and lighted walkway or play a game of basketball with your friends. The park is also an access point to the Kinley Bike Trail. After a refreshing walk down the trail, you and your family and friends can enjoy a picnic at the covered pavilion or the picnic tables.
